Als nationale ‘Double First-Class’ universiteit streeft de Zhuhai-campus van de Beijing Institute of Technology naar een ‘innovatieve, internationale en integrale’ onderwijsaanpak, gericht op het vormen van veelzijdige talenten met zowel academische excellentie als praktische vaardigheden.

Als aannemer voor het renovatieproject van de studentenwoningen en openbare ruimtes heeft Xiangshi Furniture Group zich gebaseerd op een kernontwerpfilosofie van "ecologische verantwoordelijkheid en gezondheid komen op de eerste plaats". In nauwe afstemming met de campuscontext zijn alle commerciële meubelconfiguraties ontwikkeld rond drie belangrijke criteria: milieuzekerheid, duurzaamheid en comfort. Van materiaalkeuze tot functioneel ontwerp volgde het proces een mensgerichte logica, met als doel campusroutes te creëren die zowel comfortabel wonen als actief leren ondersteunen.

Woonruimte: Balans tussen milieuvriendelijke materialen en efficiënt ruimtegebruik
Als primaire leefomgeving voor studenten is de woonruimte ontworpen met als sleutelwoorden duurzaamheid en efficiënt ruimtegebruik, waarbij een veilige en praktische 'tweede thuis' wordt gecreëerd.

Alle studentenwoonkamermeubels gebruiken E0-klasse milieuvriendelijke platen die voldoen aan de nieuwe nationale norm, waardoor risico's van schadelijke stoffen zoals formaldehyde worden geëlimineerd bij de bron. De hout- en witte kleurencombinatie van kledingkasten, bureaus en bedframe zorgt voor een huiselijke warmte in de veilige omgeving.

Elke bedruimte heeft een driedimensionale indeling met een integratie van stapelbed + studiebureau + kledingkast + open planken. De tweedeurskast bevat interne verdelingen voor hangende en gevouwen opslag, met een lager compartiment voor koffers en seizoensgebonden spullen. Meerlagige planken boven het bureau vormen een efficiënte studiehoek, waarbij studie-, opslag- en rustfuncties verticaal zijn geïntegreerd.

De beslagonderdelen van laden en kasten zijn geselecteerd uit toonaangevende merken en getest op meer dan 100.000 open- en dichtcycli, met corrosie- en roestbestendigheid die voldoen aan industrieleiderschapsnormen—waardoor de levensduur van de meubels wordt verlengd door zorgvuldig oog voor detail.

Openbare Ruimtes: Sociale Plekken Activeren met een 'Grenzeloos Leren'-concept
Voor openbare ruimtes zoals seminarzalen, studiezalen, activiteitenzones en discussielounges ontwikkelde Xiangshi flexibele, aanpasbare modules op basis van het volledige scala aan behoeften van studenten: leren–sociaal verkeer–rusten.

Seminarzalen zijn ingericht rond lange tafels en beweegbare stoelen, aangevuld met whiteboard- en plankwandenscheidingsmodules om dynamische samenwerkingsvormen te ondersteunen, zoals groepsgesprekken, brainstormsessies en projectpresentaties—waardoor zowel de samenwerkingsefficiëntie als het ruimtelijk comfort worden verbeterd.

Human-centered design: Meubels als een onzichtbare 'groeupartner'
Van ecologisch veilige bescherming in slaapzalen tot scenario-gebaseerde aanpassing in openbare ruimtes, Xiangshi plaatst menselijke behoeften altijd centraal in het ontwerp. In het BIT Zhuhai Campus-project leverde Xiangshi niet alleen meubilair dat voldoet aan de hoogste nationale ecologische normen, maar zorgde het ook, via diepgaand inzicht in leef- en studi gewoonten van studenten, ervoor dat elk product een fusie vertegenwoordigt van functionaliteit en warmte.

In de toekomst zal Xiangshi blijven focussen op duurzaamheid, slijtvastheid en humanisering, en meer voor mensen gerichte oplossingen voor commercieel meubilair leveren voor universiteiten en openbare ruimtes—waar ontwerp daadwerkelijk bijdraagt aan menselijke groei en ontwikkeling.
